Greetings, ...!
Thank you for your support and attention. I receive quite a lot of letters from Russia and abroad. The lawyer posted my information on the OVD-info website, for which I am also grateful to him. I have received letters from Berlin, San Francisco, the Netherlands, Kyrgyzstan, and several Russian cities (Moscow, St. Petersburg, Ufa, Tomsk, Saratov, Novosibirsk). I have been in pre-trial detention for more than six months, awaiting trial. My appeals for mitigation of the preventive measure are constantly rejected. It’s extremely difficult both physically and mentally; I struggle with bouts of depression and despair. You probably have an idea about the conditions of detention in «Kresty»; everything is clear and without words. For the last two weeks I have been feeling very unwell and have not been responding to letters. I have a four-legged beauty too — my cat Nicolette, a Scottish straight-eared cat, is listed in the international database of pets (she’s got a chip implant in her nape).
Before my arrest, I worked for more than 12 years at the Institute of Nuclear Physics (Gatchina), as an engineer in a scientific laboratory. Some publications about the activities of our team are posted on my VK page — «Dmitry Bogmut». I am single, my only relative is my cousin.
Be sure to send me your news selections, they are a priceless gift to me. I would also like to take advantage of the offer to post my responses to letters online — I give my consent. Thank you!!!
It’s extremely awkward to ask for this — but I would be glad to receive any possible help with food, cigarettes or small amounts in my personal account in the pre-trial detention center. My brother isn’t really in need of anything, and my relationship with him is rather cold. Write me!
