P.S.: I almost forgot to tell you the news: I was given a sentence, the same as before — seven. They asked for eleven. So, in short, the same as it was, the same it will be.

Hello, my dear and highly respected friend Anna! It has been a long time since there was any news from you; is everything all right with you and Charles? I decided to write to you and congratulate you on the upcoming New Year and Catholic Christmas! To give you and all like-minded people, especially those who are in captivity, this poem-verse:

The New Year — a people’s holiday — is approaching the Earth.

And I wish you what I wish for myself.

May freedom shine forth and return to us soon,

so that we may embrace our wives and see our children.

May our health not fail us, for we need it so much.

Many good deeds await us.

We will live in spite of our enemies.

May we extend endless happiness to our friends.

And when the time comes for us to sum up our fate,

we will say that we lived rightly

and will boldly step onto the threshold.

And for now I wish light,

peace, happiness, and kindness,

so that the little sun may shine

and the soul may remain young.

I want to wish you success, well-being, and all the very best, and that all your dreams come true. I would like to ask a question to the direct line: how is it possible to lower the age of criminal responsibility in this way, when it was established through many years of research and scientific conclusions? This reduction is simply inhumane and cruel. And is it not time to resolve the situation of those who are in captivity for their position, for expressing their opinion, to give them the opportunity to leave, to organize another, larger exchange of prisoners, political prisoners and captives? To give a Christmas miracle to everyone.

Please pass my greetings to all our friends and to Oleg Belousov. I hug everyone. The soonest peace and kindness to everyone.
