Hi!

Thank you so much for your letter! I received it on December 11th and am replying on the 13th.

The story about the coat and Charles is wonderful! Our pets are always a steady source of joyful moments. I always say that ever since I got a cat, everything at home has become twice as interesting. The way he gets in the way while I cook, sticks his nose into my plate, runs away from the vacuum cleaner, and hunts the computer mouse while I’m trying to work or play... The list goes on and on.

The weather in St. Petersburg is a bit strange—mid-December already, yet until recently, it was suspiciously warm and snowless. Just now, a little snow has fallen, but I have no doubt it won’t last until New Year’s—it’ll melt. We’ll see.

I don’t know how things will be with letters in the detention center over the next two weeks, so just in case, I’ll say it here: Wishing you a Happy New Year and Merry Christmas in advance! May 2025 bring you peace and happiness.

Thank you so much for continuing to write! It means a lot! Hard to believe I’ve been receiving your letters for about a year and a half now—wow! Once again, a huge thank you!

Best wishes,

Vasya N.
